Azita Ghanizada

Azita Ghanizada is one of the Afghan American actress in the United States who has appeared in several television shows. Her birthplace was in Kabul Afghanistan her family fled her native country to the US in search of asylum to remain. She was raised by her two sisters living in Northern Virginia. Ghanizada's career in the air started with numerous National Commercials. For the Laura Neri film A Kiss on the Nose (2004) Ghanizada portrayed the main character in Chiara the performance of which she won an awards ceremony for the best actress nomination. The television shows she has appeared in include How I Met Your Mother Entourage Veronica Mars NUMB3RS The Wedding Bells Psych Castle and Castle. Her most recent roles include a role as a support for the character of Blood Shot, (2009) inspired by the science fiction movie Blood Shot and independent comedy You Only Better (2009). In 2008, Ghanizada joined the cast of the General Hospital prime-time spin-off General Hospital. Season 2 of Night Shift featured Ghanizada play Dr. Saira Bhatra, a doctor who specializes in holistic medical practices. Ghanizada played Kelly who was a Prada Sales Girl on HBO Entourage from 2009, and was also cast as the lead character in the TV pilot Tough Trade by Weeds creator Jenji Kohn, and executive producer T Bone Burnett.
